Predators

Everything likes the way the Kiri Tree tastes, and it is nutritious, therefore, the leaves are susceptible to grasshoppers.  Early on in the growth, the roots are susceptible to gophers.  Once The Kiri Tree gains a foot hold though, it seems to grow faster than insects or gophers can eat it.

The Western and Mountain Pine Beetle are serious predators, and because of them, we have lost many of the forests in North America.  We need to plant something that the Pine Beetle does not eat, which happens to be the Kiri Tree. The Kiri Tree is non invasive, is fire retardant, and has very useful lumber.  The answer to this ravaging predator is the Kiri Tree.

Forest Fires in the USA?

Why not replant a fire retardant tree?  By planting the Kiri tree in 1600 acre farms we create a United Nations recognized rainforest.  The Western pine Beetle has decimated the forests of the Western United States and as a result every city that was once surrounded by beautiful pine trees are now surrounded by dead pine trees.  These dead pine trees are extremely flammable and as a result have helped cause un stoppable forest fires.  Thousands have lost their homes and thousands more will loose their homes because of this Western Pine Beetle and the damage it has caused.

Is their an answer?  Luckily the Pine Beetle does not prey upon the Kiri Tree, and if we plant Kiri Trees now, we can prevent thousands from losing their homes.
